James Treble | James Treble

James is a Sydney based award-winning Interior Designer, running his own successful design practice. He has over 30 years’ experience within varied roles in the Interior Design, Real Estate and Building industry.
James is also a TV presenter on Open Homes Australia, broadcasting on 9Life and the host of a brand-new show, Renovate Or Rebuild, for Ch9.
Well known for 7 seasons as designer/presenter on The Living Room – Channel 10, and as TV host on Your Money Channel (formerly Sky News Real Estate), James is also a keen Ambassador for Planet Ark and strongly supports the use of reusable and renewable materials.
James Treble is renowned for his sensible approach to Interior Design, creating homes that are firstly practical as well as beautiful and for his dedication to sharing his knowledge with the public as well as by mentoring a mindful new generation of Interior Designers.

Fiona Dawson | Coloursmith BDM and Taubmans Colour Specialist

Fiona Dawson is Taubmans Colour Specialist and Coloursmith Business Development Manager at PPG Taubmans. Fiona joined PPG with a background in interior design, colour, paint and woodcare finishes. Running a boutique interior design business allowed Fiona to gain a true understanding of the importance colour plays in both commercial and residential environments. In her current role, Fiona works with interior designers sharing the functionality of the Coloursmith app to support them in their colour selection work with clients. Fiona also helps consumers with live colour advice every Thursday night on Taubmans Australia Facebook page, providing homeowners with regular advice and inspiration on colour and paint.

Sarah-Jane Pyke B.I.A (UNSW) | Arent&Pyke Director and Design Principal

Sarah-Jane Pyke is a co-founding director and principal at Arent&Pyke, the
multi-award-winning Sydney-based interior design practice she established with Juliette Arent in 2007. Championing a signature interior style that is high concept driven while simultaneously delivering ease and joy through the skilful use of colour, texture and materiality, Sarah-Jane is drawn to the experiential aspect of design.

Years of on-site experience collaborating with specialist builders, craftspeople
and artisans has given Sarah-Jane a connoisseur’s eye for execution, a taste for
the authentic, and a preference for handcrafted objects and furniture pieces
designed to endure. Sarah-Jane has a Bachelor of Interior Architecture (UNSW), has been invited to be a jury member for the AIDA, IDEA and Dulux Colour Awards, and is currently DIA NSW State Chair.

Dr Scott Skipworth | Billy Blue College of Design

Dr Scott Skipworth is the Program Director for the Architectural Technology and Interior Design courses at Torrens University Australia. His academic leadership is informed by his PhD from Torrens University Australia, his MArch from Illinois Institute of Technology and professional experience with influential New York City and Sydney studios.

Scott is a Postdoctoral Fellow and Researcher with the Centre for Healthy Sustainable Development at Torrens University Australia. He researches the impact of the Internet of Things (IoT) on the human embodied experience of the built environment. Scott has researched and written on ‘subjective place-making’ across physical and digital environments. Colour is key in generating subjective places that express human agency and personalised meanings for individuals and communities.

Jason Mifsud | Kaolin Tiles BDM

For 25 years, Jason Mifsud has been a driving force in building and interior design, reshaping spaces and aesthetics with unwavering commitment to innovation. Armed with a Diploma in Interior Design and Business Management, he quickly became a luminary in the field, mastering business development, management, sales, and interior design, giving him a comprehensive industry perspective.

Jason’s remarkable achievement lies in visionary product design, where his vanities and furnishings seamlessly blend aesthetics and functionality, setting new standards for style and usability. In 2023, he embarked on a new career chapter, leading innovation and trendsetting, shaping the future of the architecture and interior design industry with his dedication.

Daniela Tippett | Founder of Casabela

Daniela Tippett is the founder of Casabela Interiors known locally for her contemporary, considered approach to her projects founded on a solid knowledge of design, art and architecture. Dani has demonstrated flair to bring out the best in each property with elegance, functionality and a sophisticated aesthetic at the core of every project. She also offers affordable and stylish home staging and property styling services for real estate. Her bold, signature luxe style is embodied throughout her projects whilst always being sympathetic to a building’s story and a client’s vision. Casabela is a reference to her Brazilian heritage. Colour is a big thing for Dani and part of who she is as a person and as a designer. She has been in the industry for over 12 years juggling the duties of being a designer, an amazing mum to two young boys, a housewife and a social butterfly who just doesn’t want to miss an event!
